Warm brown eyes flickered upon the people below, wondering what thoughts he could see through the straight, curly & wavy sets of headtops. His eyes followed a bobbing blonde head that swerved to the left to avoid a passing crowd of mixed hair-do's and jauntily shuffled to the right to avoid a couple. Frantic. Alone. Alex's eyes wandered over to what might have been a familiar dark head, yet he edged away from the side to miss any uplifted eyes. Don't look at me, please.

He turned on sneakered heel and sat down with his back to the ledge, pulling out a somewhat recent phone and opening his message box. His eyes zoomed through 3 new texts, humming as the fragmented words rolled down. He stopped mid-song to glance at the blue sweatshirt clad blackhole that was his stomach. It growled fiercely at him and he winced. I'm always so hungry these days... He stood up, pocketing the little device and jamming his fingers into his back pockets, leisurely heading for the door with the sweet little melody now issuing from his barely partly lips. He removed one snug hand to tug on the handle and felt someone tug it from the other side. He tugged again and the opposite did the same.
